Many people who’ve done the Beginners course progress to an Intermediate class to learn further techniques and work on their own projects. There are three classes at present on Tuesdays and Fridays. Plus a once a month weekend class. They run from September to end of May and for details of current classes, dates, costs and venues, please click on the ‘Classes for September’ link on the Homepage.
The programme is flexible for this course and based on the subjects students’ wish to learn. You may have a particular project in mind or want to learn a specific technique, so we decide as a class at the beginning of term what topics will be covered. The choice is endless! And if you’re having trouble making up your mind I have a wonderful library of books to inspire you!
Students will need to provide their own materials and bring a sewing machine, rotary cutting equipment etc.. (See also Stock cupboard info below). For some techniques like dyeing for example, we can order materials in bulk as a group.
Please use the link on the Homepage to print an enrolment form or contact me direct if you have any queries. On receipt of the booking form, I’ll send you a course information sheet with further details about the class, the venue and requirements for the first day.
I have a well stocked cupboard of many essential items for students to borrow in class, including rotary cutting equipment and large mats for squaring up quilts. I also have some sewing machines and an embellisher. The Library of books is ever expanding (over 300), with many donated by previous students. Included in the course fee is a small amount to contribute to the resources available to borrow.
All venues have level access, good free car-parking and disabled facilities. If you have any specific requirements and want to talk to me in confidence please get in touch.
