What is the aim
of the course and who is it for?
This course is for those who already have a
knowledge and experience of patchwork & quilting
techniques and is ideal for those who have
already done the Beginners’ Class.
It provides an opportunity for students to build
on and extend their skills; learning how to
design and develop ideas for their own project
work.
What will the
course cover?
The programme will be flexible covering both
traditional and contemporary styles of patchwork
and quilting, and will include specific
techniques students wish to learn.
On the first day we will decide as a group the
programme for the term.
How will I
learn?
Through instuction, demonstration and most
importantly - practice! Some class sessions will
cover the teaching of specific techniques, at
other times students will work on their own
projects with tutor support. There are some
sewing machines available to use in class, but
it is preferable for students to bring their
own.
