What is the aim of
the course and who is it for?
This course is for those with sewing experience
who would like to explore a wide range of
patchwork & quilting techniques, using both
traditional and contemporary methods. There are
two units to City & Guilds courses - the Craft
(Patchwork & Quilting) Unit teaching you
techniques to a high standard, and the Design
Unit, teaching you the principles which govern
all good design and showing you how to develop
original ideas for assessment projects.
A lot of people express concern about
‘designing’ but I love teaching people how to be
creative, and all skills are taught
progressively, so you can build up experience at
your own level and pace!
