Patchwork & Quilting – Advanced Class
The Advanced classes are for experienced stitchers who (in the words of one new student) want to be ‘challenged and stretched!’ It provides an opportunity to learn with like-minded people and be experimental and creative. There are two mixed Intermediate/Advanced classes on Tuesday morning and Friday morning at the University of Bristol Botanic Garden. The classes run weekly from September to end of May, and for details of current dates, cost and venue, please click on the ‘New Classes for September’ link on the Homepage.
The programme is flexible for this course and like the intermediate classes, based on the techniques students’ wish to learn. You may have a particular project in mind or just want to learn more advanced techniques. We discuss as a class what everyone wants to do at the beginning of term and draw up a schedule based on the techniques requested.
Students will need to provide their own materials and bring a sewing machine, rotary cutting equipment etc.. (See also Stock cupboard info below). Some materials we can order in bulk for the group.
Students are supported with handouts on the various techniques and I have a library of over 300 books available to borrow. I also keep a well stocked cupboard of essential items for students to borrow, so if you forget something it’s not the end of the world!
All venues have level access, good free car-parking and disabled facilities. If you have any specific requirements and want to talk to me in confidence please get in touch.
