It gives me great pleasure to introduce the work of City & Guilds students who exhibited at Midsomer Quilting in 2015 – Amanda R. Jenny S. Catherine G. Barbara F. Ruth C. Caroline L. Helen C. and Sue N. For the C&G Level 3 Course they studied a wide range of different patchwork and quilting techniques and designed 5 assessment pieces selected from – An Accessory. A Box or Container. An Item for Interior Decor. A Wall-hanging. And a Final Quilt (of any size). They also studied the design elements that underpin all good design and completed 5 Design portfolios Colour, Line, Shape,Texture and Form (3 dimensions). I’ve included a selection of photos from each category and wish I could have added more to do justice to all their remarkable work, I’m very proud of their achievements. A special mention should go to Catherine whose final quilt ‘Derelict’ won 1st Prize in its category at the NEC in 2015 – Congratulations!!
